The present invention relates to a photovoltaic inverter, and more particularly, to a photovoltaic inverter having maximized efficiency and durability. A photovoltaic inverter having high efficiency and long durability according to the present invention is controlled to be driven or stopped by the divided times of day such as day, sunrise and sunset, so the inverter is prevented from being unnecessarily driven or stopped. Thus, the photovoltaic efficiency and the durability of the inverter may be maximized. In addition, when the output power of some modules of a solar cell module string is reduce due to a shadow while the inverter is driven, the output powers of the modules are boosted to be used so the photovoltaic efficiency may be maximized. Further, when the driving of the inverter is stopped, the boosting operation is stopped, thereby preventing the energy from being lost due to an unnecessary boosting operation.
