The present invention relates to a construction method for a cable bridge using a transverse prestressed girder which effectively supports a weight generated by a self-load and a cable installed on an upper structure of a bridge by using a girder member where a moment is introduced as a traverse prestress. The construction method comprises: a) fabricating a girder member where a traverse prestress is introduced; b) installing a lower structure of a bridge; c) installing a cable mount to which an upper end of the cable is mounted; d) installing the girder member on the lower structure such that the prestress is exerted in a direction for generating an upward camber in a traverse direction of the girder member; e) installing an upper plate on the girder member; and f) installing a plurality of cables, wherein upper ends of the cables are mounted on the cable mount and lower ends thereof are mounted on both ends of the girder member in a width direction.
