The present invention relates to a controlling method for laser cladding, and a laser cladding system accurately controlling a laser cladding work. A method to measure a height of the molten pool produced on a specimen under a laser cladding process calculating a height of the molten pool from a distance between a displacement sensor and an end of the molten pool by the displacement sensor placed closely arranged to a beam condenser which connects to a laser generating apparatus, a distance between the displacement sensor and the center of the molten pool, and a tilted angle of the displacement sensor respect to a vertical line.
