The present invention relates to a catalyst for manufacturing an oxygenated carbon compound from synthetic gas which is characterized by allowing mesoporous carbon nanoparticle (MCN) carriers to be supported by catalyst active metal, wherein the structure of the carrier is a two-dimensional stick shape or a two-dimensional tube shape. The catalyst for manufacturing an oxygenated carbon compound from synthetic gas according to the present invention has uniform and regular mesopores of a two-dimensional stick shape or a two-dimensional tube shape with high surface area improves accessibility to active points in pores of reactants and mass transfer activities of reactants and products. Additionally, the mesoporous carbon nanoparticle carriers are environmentally friendly and economical by being manufactured from carbohydrate solutions such as sucrose, xylose and the like, thereby being able to be usefully used in oxygenated carbon compound manufacture.
