The present invention relates to an inspecting apparatus for a mechanical trip valve of an emergency trip system for a turbine in a power plant, and an inspecting method thereof. The inspecting apparatus for a mechanical trip valve of an emergency trip system for a turbine in a power plant comprises: a test block where a mechanical trip valve of an emergency trip system is selectively fastened, and which includes a plurality of flow paths capable of being connected with a plurality of ports formed on the mechanical trip valve; and an inspection stage which provides a position where the test block can selectively be installed, and includes a plurality of channels capable of being connected with the plurality of flow paths of the test block where a flowmeter or an oil pressure gauge is installed in order to measure a flow rate or a hydraulic pressure of oil which passes the plurality of channels. Therefore, the inspecting apparatus for a mechanical trip valve of an emergency trip system for a turbine in a power plant can accurately identify a position of an abnormal condition during abnormal operation of an emergency trip system by individually inspecting the mechanical trip valves composing the emergency trip system for a turbine in a power plant, and can prevent accidents of the facility by inspecting the current status of the valves in detail in order to expect a replacement period in advance.
