The present invention relates to a cosmetic composition containing a Fraxinus mandshurica Rupr. extract as an active ingredient, which is characterized by containing 0.0001-30.0 wt% of the Fraxinus mandshurica Rupr. extract as an active ingredient for a total weight of a cosmetic composition. According to the present invention, the Fraxinus mandshurica Rupr. extract has an MMP-1 generation preventing effect, a collagen biosynthesis effect, a melanin generation preventing effect, an antiseptic effect, a skin wrinkle preventing effect, a moisturizing effect, and an anti-oxidation effect, so as to provide various kinds of functional cosmetic materials.
