The present invention relates to a continuously variable transmission (CVT) hybrid tractor which can prevent a stall phenomenon of an engine caused by overload, and can improve fuel efficiency by being operated in high-efficiency area where a fuel consumption rate is low, not in high output area where a fuel consumption amount is large. The method of driving a motor-generator and an engine of a CVT hybrid tractor according to the present invention comprises: an internal combustion engine tractor starting step (s100); an engine RPM (Re) setting step (s200) determining an engine RPM (Re); an step (s300) of setting an initial transmission ratio (N_0) and target speed (Sw); a driving step (s400); a step (s500) of adjusting a fuel supply amount adjusting to maintain the engine RPM (Re); and a step (s600) of determining low-load or overload of an engine at the set engine RPM.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2015
