The present invention relates to a method for detecting abnormal data flooding in a mobile communication network. According to the present invention, traffic statistics information for each session of a current time point is extracted, a variation value of the current time point is calculated using the traffic statistics information, a preset number of reference time points for determining whether abnormal data flooding of the current time point occurs are extracted from a preset reference period so as to be set as a reference group, an internal variation and an external variation between the current time point and the reference time points in the reference group are calculated, and, if the external variation is larger than the internal variation, it is determined that abnormal data flooding occurs.
