MEDIA ACCESS CONTROL METHOD USING CHANNEL PREEMPTION IN DISTRIBUTED COGNITIVE RADIO NETWORK

A media access control method in a distributed cognitive radio network according to the present invention includes the steps of: enabling at least part of secondary users which participate in the network to exclusively sense at least part of a plurality of main user channels and to report the sensing result of the corresponding main user channel in a mini slot corresponding to the sensed main user channel through a common control channel; and enabling the secondary users which want to transmit data to perform the contention for the preemption of an idle channel though the common control channel based on idle channel information obtained through the reporting step.
