The present invention relates to a system to clean a drilling fluid tank, and a method thereof. More specifically, the present invention includes an additional independent tank for a cleaning work, and separates and collects a drilling fluid and cleaning water using a centrifuge device without discharging toward a drain system after finishing the cleaning work. According to the present invention, the present invention includes: the additional independent cleaning tank and the centrifuge device, and reprocesses a drain by centrifugation without discharging the drain generated by a cleaning work in order to separate the drain into the drilling fluid and the cleaning water respectively; and collects the drilling fluid and the cleaning water to be reused. The present invention can significantly reduce the water required in the cleaning work of the drilling fluid tank, and reduce the costs in processing the drain.
