The present invention relates to a method for transmitting data between controllers in a vehicle network and a method for receiving the data between the controllers in the vehicle network. The method for transmitting the data between the controllers in the vehicle network according to the present invention includes the steps of: transmitting a data code including an identification number; transmitting the data code including the length values of the data codes to be transmitted; and transmitting the data codes by corresponding to the length values of the data codes to be transmitted. The present invention provides the method for transmitting the data between the controllers in the vehicle network and the method for receiving the data between the controllers in the vehicle network, capable of providing improved security by controlling the location and the length of the data code in the transmission and reception processes of the data code between the controllers in the vehicle network. The present invention enhances the security of the vehicle network.
