The present invention relates to a method for protecting rights through unique recording in a digital image and, more specifically, to a method for protecting digital rights of a video stream using frequency modulation. One of video stream frames is randomly selected, and the lowest one of frequency regions of the selected frame is removed. The region spaced at a particular distance having a size as much as a number at the first digit of an ID to be applied from the deleted region, and a region having the lowest frequency from a frame next to the frame in which the first digit of the ID is recorded is removed. A region in which a number at the next digit of the ID is spaced at a particular distance having a size of the number sequentially digit by digit is removed, thereby recording a unique ID. Moreover, the method for protecting digital rights of a video stream using frequency modulation according to the present invention comprises: a frame appointing step of selecting one of a plurality of frames constituting a video stream and appointing the same as an nth frame; a frequency converting step of converting the nth frame to a frequency region; a deleting step of removing the lowest frequency region from the end of a frequency region of the converted nth frame; and an ID applying step of removing a region spaced at a particular distance having a size as much as a number disposed in the first digit (k) of an ID to be applied from the deleted region.
