An exposure-type waterproof sheet protection block and an exposure-type water proof sheet protection construction method using the same are provided to protect an exposure-type waterproof sheet on a rooftop or a road that is influenced much especially by seasonal environment, to guarantee a long life, and to reduce human and material resources used for maintenance and repair at the same time. The method of the present invention comprises: a waterproof sheet surface cleaning step (S100) of removing a variety of foreign substances attached to the surface of an exposure-type waterproof sheet (20) with air and water; a grade matching step (S200) of matching the grade by using a finishing material for the waterproof sheet (20), on which the above step of cleaning the surface is finished; a protection block settling step (S300) of settling and fixing a protection block (S) on the waterproof sheet consecutively starting from the edge; and a finishing step (S400) of finishing by organizing the places around the protection block constructed after the protection block is settled. The protection block (S) comprises: a bottom block (100) made into one shape from among a circle, a polygon, and an oval by putting an insulator into a certain thickness on the surface of the waterproof sheet (20), on which the grade is matched; a top block (200) made into one body with the bottom block (100) and formed to be smaller than the edge of the bottom block in the inward direction; and a drain (300) formed into one shape from among a crossing shape and a straight shape in a selected one from among a side or a bottom surface of the bottom block (100).
