The present invention relates to an eco-friendly briquette which does not generate toxic gas and enhances the combustio time, and a method of manufacturing an eco-friendly briquette, wherein some components of cleaning agent are decomposed in a combustion process of briquette to generate oxygen, and thus complete combustion of coal which is a main ingredient of a briquette is induced to eliminate harmful gas emissions, thereby achieving better eco-friendliness and reducing the amount of uncombusted carbon to lengthen combustion time and decrease generated dusts.
