The present invention relates to a welding device including a seam tracking unit and a seam tracking method. The welding device including a seam tracking unit comprises: a welding unit installed in an upper surface with respect to a welding base material to conduct welding; and a backing unit installed in a lower surface with respect to the welding base material, including a backing member to support a seam. The welding unit includes: a welding bogie moving along the seam; a welding part installed in the welding bogie to conduct welding along the seam; and two light sources installed in the welding bogie along the seam with a gap therebetween. The backing unit includes: a backing bogie moving along the seam; a backing member installed in the backing bogie to support the seam from a lower side along the seam; and a camera box installed in the backing bogie to correspond to the light sources. The camera box has a vision camera installed thereon to detect a position of the light sources and includes a control part to receive the position of the light sources from the vision camera, determining the moving direction of the backing unit via calculation.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2015
