The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for manufacturing functional cotton, functional cotton manufactured thereby, and bedding having functional cotton, and is to simplify manufacturing facilities and processes by inserting a functional material such as activated carbon or the like into a complete product by a forced insertion method using a syringe-shaped nozzle and a carrier gas. The method for manufacturing functional cotton in accordance with the present invention comprises: a first step of supplying a cotton material; a second step of forcibly inserting and embedding a particulate material containing activated carbon in the cotton material supplied through the first step by pressure-feeding of the carrier gas in the state where a feeding end of the nozzle is inserted into the cotton material; and a third step of collecting and loading the cotton material in which the activated carbon is embedded by passing through the second step. The apparatus for manufacturing functional cotton in accordance with the present invention comprises: a supply unit for supplying a cotton material (1); an injector (20) for forcibly injecting a particulate material containing activated carbon, which is inserted into the cotton material supplied from the supply unit; and a loading unit for collecting and loading the cotton material in which the particulate material containing the activated carbon is injected by the injector, wherein the injector includes: a tank (21) in which the particulate material containing the activated carbon is accommodated; a compressor; a transport pipe for transporting a carrier gas sprayed by the compressor; and a plurality of nozzles (24) which are connected to the transport pipe and the tank and are configured to inject the particulate material stored in the tank into the cotton material by the carrier gas that is fed under pressure through the transport pipe in the state where the feeding end is inserted into the cotton material.
