The present invention relates to a method for providing a personalized service, in which user information is obtained through a sensor, current circumstance information of a user is inferred based on the obtained user information, and consumed energy costs depending on a sensing period or an inference period, and sensing or inference inaccuracy costs are considered together when the sensing period for obtaining the user information or the inference period for inferring the current circumstance information are determined in a process of operating an electronic device to be corresponded to the current circumstance information of the user, thereby providing a satisfying service to the user and reducing the consumed energy at the same time.
