The present invention relates to an object-based search method of an intelligent surveillance system. The purpose of the present invention is to track and search a certain object from images photographed and recorded by a plurality of cameras by defining an object in the image based on the center of gravity, a silhouette, the size and color information with respect to the object and then extracting a desired object based on the color information of the defined object. The object-based search method includes the steps of: defining each object by specifying each of multiple objects existing in the images photographed by the cameras and then extracting color information of a relevant object; storing image data in a DB based on the color information of the object; extracting all of the images including an object having target color information by searching image data stored in the DB by using a color keyword; and checking additional information about the detected target object after detecting a target object by analyzing the extracted image.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2015
