The present invention relates to a junction box for a solar power generating system having a degradation monitoring and diagnosis function by infrared and ultrasonic waves detection, and is for monitoring and diagnosing temperature degradation, arc discharge and corona discharge of the junction box by infrared and ultrasonic waves detection. The junction box for the solar power generating system according to the present invention includes an ultrasonic waves sensor, a discharge judgment part, an audio frequency conversion part, an infrared sensor, an integrity evaluation index calculation part and a degradation/discharge detection result transmitting part. The ultrasonic wave sensor detects ultrasonic waves generated in a body of the junction box. The discharge judgment part judges occurrence of arc discharge or corona discharge through ultrasonic waves detected by the ultrasonic wave sensor. The audio frequency conversion part converts the ultrasonic waves detected by the ultrasonic wave sensor into a signal of an audio frequency. The infrared sensor detects temperature by sensing infrared rays of a bus bar, a cable connection part, and a port connection part of a switch or a circuit breaker in the body of the junction box. The integrity evaluation index calculation part calculates an integrity evaluation index using the temperature sensed by the infrared sensor. And the degradation/discharge detection result transmitting part transmits occurrence of the arc discharge or the corona discharge judged by the discharge judgment part, the integrity evaluation index calculated by the integrity evaluation index calculation part, and the signal of the audio frequency converted by the audio frequency conversion part to a user terminal in real-time.
