The present invention relates to a method for detecting human body parts representing adult scene of images wherein nipples areas, which are body parts representing adult scene of images, are detected from an input image by defining a nipple map and an average color filter. The method for detecting human body parts representing adult scene of images includes the steps of: (a) separating a skin area from the input image; (b) detecting a face area in the separated skin area and excludes the face area; (c) detecting a candidate area of nipples in the skin area; (d) exclude an area, which is out of a geometrical character range of nipples, from the candidate area; and (e) measuring similarity of the candidate area with a sample image of nipples by using a color filter and determining an actual nipple area based on the similarity. By the method for detecting human body parts, the nipple area can be accurately detected, when compared to an existing method, by using the nipple map and the average color filer and excluding the face area.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2015
