The present invention relates to a method for locating structure data on 3D geomorphic data which allows users to be provided with a natural 3D picture by shortening the time to visualize a 3D screen through a high-speed locating of 3D structure data including buildings and bridges on 3D geomorphic data for visualizing the real world three-dimensionally on a computer. The method for locating structure data on 3D geomorphic data may include: a first step of partition-setting the 3D geomorphic information by a predetermined size of grid units, partitioning multiple geomorphic tiles comprising multiple grid points, and producing and storing index information comprising location information on each metamorphic tile; a second step of extracting a reference point which satisfies predetermined conditions among 3D boundary values with respect to pertinent structure data in the state of locating the pertinent structure data on the metamorphic data corresponding to the coordinates of the structure data; a third step of extracting a metamorphic tile on which the reference coordinates of the structure data is located by comparing the index information of the metamorphic tile and the reference coordinates of the structure data; a fourth step of calculating an altitude value of the structure data by extracting intersection points nearby the reference point of the structure data in the metamorphic tile extracted in the third step, and by using a vertical intersection point of a virtual plane corresponding to the intersections and the reference point of the structure data; and a fifth step of confirming an exact point on the pertinent metamorphic data of the structure data by moving every point with respect to the structure data by as much as the altitude value based on the virtual plane.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2015
