An apparatus for evaluating the magnitude of tidal wave upon the magnitude of submarine landslide according to an embodiment of the present invention is characterized by comprising a slope frame (200) tilted by a given tilt angle, and arranged inside a water tank part (100); multiple rotatory rollers (R) formed on the upper surface of the slope frame (200) in the longitudinal direction of the slope, and including a guide rail (200a) formed on one side of the outer circumferential surface; a hinge panel part (300) transferred along the guide rail (200a), and hinged with a given angle; and a transfer motor (500) transferring the hinge panel part (300) in a given speed. Therefore, according to an evaluating apparatus and evaluating method of the magnitude of tidal wave upon the magnitude of submarine landslide of an embodiment of the present invention, the hinge panel part (300) installed for the hinge angle to be a given angle by a hinge pin (330) is used, thereby evaluating the magnitude of tidal wave caused by an imaginary submarine landslide occurred in an indoor model test device by an experimental method.
