A method for removing phosphorous (P) from contaminated water by using magnetically separated particles according to the present invention includes the steps of: (a) separating magnetically-separated particles (MSPs) from soil by using a magnetic body; (b) collecting the MSPs; and (c) removing phosphorous (P) from contaminated water by using the MSPs. The MSPs according to the present invention are economical as natural materials, separated from the soil by using the magnetic body, can be used to remove phosphorus (P) from contaminated water without additional chemical treatment. The MSPs can adsorb phosphorous (P) with high efficiency of 93% or more and thus can effectively purify fresh water or seawater contaminated by phosphorus (P).;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2016
