The present invention relates to an artificial subsurface-flow wetland which is connected to a plurality of unit treating tanks (10) where plant materials (30) is mounted on an upper portion by multi-stage. The present invention spreads a light medium (20) inside the unit treating tanks (10), installs a container (50) where plant materials (30) are loaded on tan upper portion, forms an upward flow in treating water of the inner unit treating tanks (10) and purifies them in order that the filtered treating water through the light medium (20) comes into contact with purification plants of the container (50) and blocks back wash water into the container (50) when back wash of the light medium (20) because of being possible to open and close a lower plate of the container (50). A lower spray hole (15) and an upper portion (16) is respectively formed on an upper and lower portion of the unit treating tanks (10). The present invention can promote flowage of the light medium (20) through forming spiral flow inside the unit treating tanks (10) by spraying compressed air or back wash water when back wash. The present invention can basically solve a chronic problem of a conventional artificial subsurface-flow wetland when operating back wash of the medium and can maintain functions of subsurface-flow wetland and semipermanently use the medium because of blocking secondary pollution of plant materials (30) and purification plants and thus can drastically reduce operation cost of subsurface-flow wetland as well as improving processing performance of subsurface-flow wetland and maintenance convenience.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2015
