- SYNCHRONIZATION OF WEB SERVICE ENDPOINTS IN A MULTI-MASTER SYNCHRONIZATION ENVIRONMENT

A Web services synchronization protocol is provided that describes metadata and messaging where endpoints roam, share, and synchronize common information with each other within a multi-master network computing ecosystem. A typical SOAP-based protocol is provided to synchronize data between two endpoints when one or more endpoints support the Web service. By using XML Web services to define messaging for knowledge-based delivery, protocols enable devices, services and applications to synchronize across firewalls and allow any common set or subset of information across endpoints Flexibility is taken into account and extensibility is considered by not specifying the schema of the actual data to be synchronized at the endpoint.
