1. A method of removing carbon dioxide from an exhaust gas stream, the process comprising the steps of: contacting said exhaust gas stream with a depleted amino-silicone absorbent in an amount sufficient to react with a substantial portion of the carbon dioxide present in said exhaust gas stream; forming a suspension comprising unreacted amino-silicone absorbent and carbamate compounds formed by the reaction of the indicated depleted amino-silicone absorbent one with said carbon dioxide; heating said suspension to a temperature sufficient to cause desorption of carbon dioxide from said carbamate compounds and regenerate depleted amino-silicone absorbent; keeping desorbed carbon dioxide gas separate from said exhaust gas stream; and the release of said gaseous carbon dioxide. 2. The method of claim 1, further comprising the step of cooling said exhaust gas stream prior to contacting said depleted amino-silicone absorbent. The method according to claim 1, wherein said contact stages of said exhaust gas stream with an amino-silicone absorbent and suspension formation occur in an absorber column. The method according to claim 3, further comprising the step of recycling the regenerated depleted amino-silicone absorbent to said absorber.
