The absorbent feminine care product of claim 1, wherein the acidic compound is a weak organic carboxylic acid. The feminine absorbent article of claim 1, wherein the acidic compound is an aliphatic carboxylic acid having a first dissociation constant of from about 0.5 to about 6.4. The absorbent feminine care product of claim 1, wherein the visible color change occurs at a pH of from about 4 to about 8.5. The absorbent feminine care product according to claim 1, wherein the chromogen is phthalein, anthraquinone, aromatic azo compound, arylmethane, or a combination thereof.
