A method for determining the level of speech development in children under the age of 3.5 years, including registration and measurement of the current components of the electroencephalogram (EEG), characterized in that the process is carried out in two stages: at rest with eyes open and eyes open and exposed to the speech - listening child speech understood semantic content in it points F3, F4, F7, F8, C3, C4, T3, T4, T5, T6, P3, P4, O1 and O2, calculating change of the power spectral density (PSD) of the alpha rhythm, gamma- rhythm beta1- beta2 and EEG rhythms in the data leads and identify retracted I, in which changes were observed in the PSD, quantified the level of dyssynchrony in the identified leads and identify children with optimal for age changes SPM rhythms like having a normal level of language development, as well as children with desynchronization in more leads, but with reduced its levels that characterized by a delay of speech development.
