FIELD: fire-fighting equipment.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to various systems of aerosol type of fire protection of facilities with low and normal fire risk with less necessity of water compared to the known systems of aerosol type or sprinkler systems designed to protect the same facilities. Three preferred constructive implementations of the system are identified by varying the design criteria for mounting the devices of aerosol fire extinguishing having a large coverage area, by themselves or in combination with known nozzles or sprinklers. The preferred devices of aerosol fire extinguishing provide protection of at least one facility only with low fire risk, and facilities with low and normal fire risk having a ceiling with a maximum height of at least 8 feet. The preferred device comprises a housing having a passage defining performance ratio K of less than 1 gal per min/pound-force per sq. inch1/2. The preferred device comprises the means for spraying liquid with the flux density less than 0.1 gal per min/sq. ft with the liquid pressure at the inlet of less than 500 pound-force per sq. inch to form a coverage area of the device of more than 132 sq. ft, preferably up to a maximum of 256 sq. ft.;EFFECT: increased efficiency of fire extinguishing.;14 cl, 26 dwg, 12 tbl
