FIELD: physics, atomic power.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to nuclear material engineering and can be used in uranium tetrafluoride conversion. Silicon tetrafluoride and uranium dioxide are obtained from uranium tetrafluoride. Silicon dioxide is subjected to mechanical activation followed by homogenisation thereof with uranium tetrafluoride in stoichiometric ratio.
