FIELD: process engineering.;SUBSTANCE: this method comprises measurement of the Earth magnetic field induction vector module (VIMFE) by magnetometers integrated with signal receiver point at one vertical carrier tower by the vessel. VIMFE module gradient is defined to perform combined processing of magnetometric data and coordinates of magnetometers. The latter are defined by calculations proceeding from measured coordinates and angles of inclination of the carrier with allowance for calculated corrections for carrier deformation. During said combined processing, x, y, z coordinates are defined at intersection of vertical carrier path with pipeline defined by abnormal magnitudes of VIMFE module. There coordinates allow the determination of pipeline spatial location.;EFFECT: higher accuracy of determination.;3 dwg
