The positioning mechanism, made with the ability to retain the cup-shaped element 4, 8 and the tubular element 5, 6, 9 in the parked position in the hopper 3 and 7, when the cup-shaped element 4, 8 is not used, and with the ability of drawing the cup-shaped element 4, 8 from the tubular element 5, 6, 9, from the parked position to the position of connection to the dug of the animal 1. The control device is made to determine the individual adapted released length of the tubular element 5, 6, 9, in response to the information from the detection means 12, 13a, 13b, capable to determine the parameter which enables to determine the position of the dug of the animal 1.
