METHOD FOR PREDICTING CLINICAL COURSE OF SARCOIDOSIS

FIELD: medicine.;SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to a method for predicting the clinical course of sarcoidosis. Substance of the method consists in analysing biopsy material of a middle lobe of the right lung. What is involved is an immunohistochemical analysis in at least 5 visual fields at magnification ×400 to measure an average myofibroblast count in the interalveolar interstitial tissue. If the derived value is more than 50, the unfavourable outcome of sarcoidosis is predicted; the value of 15 and less average myofibroblast count, the favourable outcome of sarcoidosis is predicted.;EFFECT: using the declared method enables the early prediction and detection of the group of patients not requiring a great number of additional examinations.;2 ex
