The invention relates to an ultrasonic detection method. The method includes providing an ultrasound detection system (100) having a phased array transmitter (120) and a phased array receiver (130). A phased array wave is sent from the phased array transmitting device (120) through a rotating body (106) to the phased array receiving device (130), thereby obtaining ultrasonic detection information about the rotating body. In a further embodiment, the method includes positioning the phased array transmitter and the phased array receiver on a circumference of a turbine rotor, transmitting the phased array wave into the turbine rotor, wherein the phased array wave is not from a reflecting the positioning of the phased array transmitters on the circumference of the turbine rotor, and emitting the phased array wave into the turbine rotor, wherein the phased array wave is reflected by a reflective structure. The reflected phased array wave is received by the phased array receiving device.
