Method for a generation of a trigger signal by means of an ecg - signal (18) comprising:– a learning step (100), in which by means of an algorithm manager (14) the ecg - signal (18) is detected, wherein the algorithm manager (14) a first trigger entity (15, 16, 17) and at least one further trigger entity (15, 16, 17), wherein each of the trigger entities (15, 16, 17) comprises a trigger algorithm, wherein each of the trigger algorithms signals from two or more different ecg - channels (ch1, ch2, ch3) processed,– a selection step (101), wherein one of the trigger entities (15, 16, 17) for the generation of the trigger signal is selected, and– a measurement step (102), in which by means of the selected trigger entity (15, 16, 17) a trigger signal is generated.
