A process for the visualization of the quality of an ablation procedure with the aid of a rake - and indicating means (101), wherein said method comprises the following process steps:S1) providing a 3d - data set of a anatomical object (10) of an object to be examined (106);S2) providing a 3d - image model of an ablation instrument (1), wherein the 3d - picture model at least the surface of the ablation instrument (1) is modelled;S3) specifying a position and an alignment of the 3d - image model of the ablation instrument (1) within the anatomical object (10);S4) position-correct insertion of the 3d - image model of the ablation instrument (1) in the 3d - data record of the anatomical object (10);S5) representation of at least a portion of the gated 3d - image model of the ablation instrument (1) and of the 3d - data record of the anatomical object (10);S6) determining at least one quality characteristic value in dependence on the position of the 3d - image model of the ablation instrument (1) to the anatomical object (10).
