An energy harvesting device includes a substrate and a plurality of resonant elements coupled to the substrate. Each resonant element is configured to collect radiant energy in at least visible and infrared light spectra and to re-radiate energy at a wavelength within the range of about 0.8 μm to about 0.9 μm. The resonant elements are arranged in groups of two or more resonant elements. Systems for harvesting electromagnetic radiation include a substrate, a plurality of resonant elements having a conductive material carried by the substrate, and a photovoltaic material coupled to the substrate and at least one resonant element. The resonant elements are arranged in groups, such as in a dipole, a tripole, or in a "bowtie" configuration.
