A hermetically sealed polymer capacitor with a high stability at elevated temperatures

A method for providing an improved hermetically sealed capacitor contains the following steps of: applying a solder and of a flux at an inner surface of a housing; melting of the solder on the inner surface; removing of the flux as a result of which a flow means arm solder is formed; inserting a capacitor element in the housing; remelting of the flow means arms solder, as a result of which a soldered connection between the housing and of the solderable layer is formed; and sealing of the housing.
