An LED driver device includes a first converter (113), a second converter (115) and a control circuit (120). The first converter (113) generates a first voltage (V1) from a received alternating current (AC) power. The second converter (115) receives the first voltage (V1) and drives a plurality of LEDs (400) based on the received first voltage (V1). The control circuit (120) sets a reference voltage (VREF) level based on a level of the first voltage (V1) generated by the first converter (113), and controls the level of the first voltage (V1) by comparing a level of the AC power and a level of the reference voltage (VREF).
