An image sensor (800) includes a pixel matrix (810), a plurality of comparators (COM), a plurality of counters (CNT), and a plurality of synchronization circuits (SYN1 to SYNm). The pixel array (810) includes a plurality of pixels configured to generate analog signals by scanning incident light. The comparators generate comparison signals by comparing the analog signals with a reference signal. The counters (CNT) are grouped into a plurality of counter groups (BK1 to BKm). Each of the counters (CNT) generates digital signals corresponding to the analog signals by counting, and the counting is terminated by the comparison signals. Each of the synchronization circuits (SYN1 to SYNm) synchronizes input clock signals with an origin clock signal (SCK) to provide synchronized input clock signals to each of the counter groups (BK1 to BKm).
