A vehicle system is provided that includes an acoustic amplification system having a sound amplification generator that generates amplified audio output based on a transfer function and a plurality of audio tuning parameters to drive the at least one audio output. In addition, the vehicle system includes a sound reinforcement system health monitor that compares feedback of the amplified audio output with respect to at least one environmental condition to a level of at least one input to determine a current performance level of the acoustic enhancement system. In addition, the sound reinforcement system health monitor determines a difference between the current performance level of the sound reinforcement system and at least one performance threshold level and, upon determining that the difference is at a predetermined level, initiates a warning.
