Spinal ancillary device (1) serving for the insertion, positioning and guiding of an intersomatic implant. The ancillary device (1) comprises an implant holder (2) having an elongate part provided with an anvil (23) with a strike surface, an impactor (3) having an elongate body that ends in a head, and a guide (4) comprising an elongate member with a zone for guiding the impactor (3) in translation, where the anvil (23) of the implant holder (2) has a recessed part extending around said elongate part and geometrically shaped to cover the head of the impactor (3) and extending along a predetermined length, and where the head of the impactor (3) extends along a length shorter than the length of the recessed part of the anvil (23).
