The invention relates to a device for using a hub motor by connecting it to the pedal plate (8) to take advantage of the reduction of the transmission of the bike. It consists of a rigid monoblock support (3) accepting different sizes of engines and forming part of the frame of the bicycle. The chain tensioner (9) fixed to the support (3) ensures the correct tension and alignment of the chain of the secondary transmission (10). The return torque washers (5) ensure the locking of the motor shaft, strengthen the support (3) and allow to adjust the position of the motor (4) according to its diameter. The device according to the invention makes it possible to simply transform a conventional bicycle into a high-performance electric bicycle while maintaining a constant maximum engine efficiency whatever the speed. The device according to the invention is as well intended for the practice of road cycling as mountain bike and can effectively exploit the power of its engine on roads or paths whose slope can be up to 20%.
