The invention relates to a device for carrying out an aging test of a material, by exposure to at least one climatic stress. This device comprises a specimen of the material (10) having a first face (11) and a second opposite face (12), a chamber (20) defined by a peripheral wall (21) in which a window (22) is formed, and control means in the chamber of at least one climatic stress parameter. The specimen is assembled to the peripheral wall of the chamber so as to close the first window in a fluid-tight manner, the first face of the specimen being on the inside of the chamber. This device thus makes it possible to subject the only first face (11) of the specimen of material to one or more climatic stresses, if necessary in association with a mechanical stress.
