A model race track system with multiple exits from a corner, only selectable by the skill of the operator

A model vehicle race track for use with self-propelled, slot guided model vehicles 11 comprises a track section 1 having a number of exit paths 7 & 8 following a corner allowing different exit routes to be available to the model vehicle driver. The path taken on exit of said corner is determined by the relationship of the vehicle to its guide blade 4 and guide slot. This relationship and therefore the path, is controlled by the skill of the driver either driving steadily or drifting broadside around said corner, by varying the power delivered to the drive wheels of said vehicle. Driving steadily will cause the guide blade and thus the vehicle to follow exit slot 7 (see figure 4), while driving more quickly will cause the vehicle to swing outwardly around said corner causing guide blade and thus the vehicle to follow exit slot 8 (see figure 5).
