A method of controlling a mobile communication device equipped with a touch screen, and a communication device and a method of executing functions thereof are disclosed. A method of controlling a mobile communication device, comprises displaying a plurality of execution keys on a standby screen of a touch screen, and executing different operations depending on whether the execution keys slide after the execution keys are touched.
