A kind of system and method are provided, wherein the MIMO transmission of channel state information auxiliary is based on singular value decomposition (SVD) (204) (304) and simplifies decoding process. Using this fact is that SVD redistributes channel energy in a manner of successively decreasing; fine-the Grained-Scalability (FGS) (208) of the basal layer is mapped on the path of highest signal to noise ratio (SNR) to obtain preferably protection; and other enhancement layers are mapped to other paths, so that secondary layer is mapped to the channel that the lower paths SNR SVD is decomposed. Multiple description coding (MDC) (207) is also used to which and at least one encoding stream is made to be the more protections provided on amphitene, because of high SNR. The present invention is suitble to any radio multi-media communicating system based on MIMO.
