The control device has a controlled blower (1), a combustion air pipe (3) which is connected with the blower, and a fuel gas line (4), in which a controlled fuel gas valve (2) is present. The fuel gas valve is opened in the combustion air pipe. The pressure receiving positions (7,8) receive the total pressure in the combustion air pipe and the fuel gas line. The pressure receiving positions are adjusted with its openings against the flow direction. An independent claim is also included for a method for controlling a fuel-powered burner.
