A chair with a backrest (30), a folding seat element (40) with a seat surface (42) and with a chair foot (20) which can be mounted on a floor surface (10) is provided in the chair base (20) and in the seat element (40) with air ducts (21, 41). It can be a theater chair. The air supply from the bottom surface is provided in the air ducts of the chair or legs (20). When the seat element (40) is folded up in the sitting position, the air guide channels (21, 41) of the chair foot (s) (20) and of the seat element (40) are connected. The air ducts (41) in the seat element (40) terminate in outflow openings (44) on the underside of the seat (43).
