The device has a delivering unit for delivering antitachycardia shock to patient's ventricle. An estimator unit includes a collecting unit for collecting a unipolar signal (20) between a ventricular coil (16) and a housing of a generator (12). The collecting unit collects another unipolar signal (22) between a supraventricular coil (18) and the housing of the generator. Performing units perform independent component analysis (ICA) to determine an estimated atrial activity signal from the unipolar signals.
